ANS is non-invasive and evaluates the nervous system function through a process called Heart Rate Variability and Pulse Wave Velocity. ANS measures the ability of the nervous system to balance the body with or without the assistance of the cardiovascular and endocrine system in response to Resting, Deep Breathing, Valsalva Maneuver, and Standing. A three lead ECG, Pulse Oximeter, and Blood Pressure Cuff are used as measurement devices.

ANS's focus is on the large nerve fibers within the autonomic nervous system. Their ability to quickly respond, allows for the monitoring of disease progression and can help gauge if your treatment plan is right for you.

It is a 10 minute test that requires no patient preparation.
No prior authorization needed.
Scientifically proven for early detection of numerous medical conditions.

How does it work?

Three ECG leads, tow pulse oximeters, and one blood pressure cuff are placed on the patient. The heart rate variability, pulse wave velocity and the blood pressure is quantified and acts as a biomarker to assess the activity of the large nerve fibers that activate the heart, blood vessels, and endocrine system.

The amount of observed variability between heart beats helps identify the intensity of communication between the cells and the brain. When combined with other testing parameters it is determined if the cardiovascular system and/or the endocrine system was used for autonomic balance.

Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) Testing is considered a Standard of Care from the following prestigious organizations:
